Our second annual Rochester EarthFest Celebration is a 7-day, volunteer led event, which consists of several Earth week programs at various locations around the area including Assisi Heights, Quarry Hill, The Food Coop, and downtown Rochester
Not only is coal burning responsible for one third of US carbon emissions, the main contributor to climate disruption, but it is also making us sick leading to as many as 13,000 premature deaths every year and more than $100 billion in annual health costs. Nationally renowned expert and leader of the Sierra Club’s Beyond Coal campaign, Mary Ann Hitt, and our own Mayor Ardell Brede will address the changing face of energy production and set the stage for Rochester’s pathway to becoming 100% Renewable by 2031.
